Exit at Ercolano Scavi station.
Go straight on Via 4 Novembre for about 10 minutes.
You will find the entrance to Ercolano Scavi in front of you.

To reach Naples:

Naples 'Piazza Garibaldi' exit

For a visit to Naples, you can choose either hydrofoil or train, depending on the weather conditions. We usually recommend the Circumvesuviana train and then immediately the metro (exit Piazza Cavour) to reach the city's Archaeological Museum, which is worth at least four hours.

Among the attractions you can visit in a day are the Gesù Church, the Basilica of Santa Chiara and the famous 'Cloister', the Chapel of San Severo, and the Duomo.

Guided tours of the city's interesting underground passages (Napoli Sotterranea) start from Piazzetta San Gaetano. We also recommend a visit to the Galleria Umberto, Piazza Plebiscito and its Royal Palace, Teatro San Carlo and the picturesque district of Santa Lucia with its Borgo marinaro and the Castello dell' Ovo.

  1. Exit Hotel Desirèe and cross the street on your right.
  2. You will find the Line A bus stop towards the station on your right.
  3. Take the Line A bus to Piazza Tasso.
  4. Once at Piazza Tasso, take Line D in the direction of the port.
  5. When you arrive at the harbour you can take a ferry to Capri
(The ferry crossing takes about 30 minutes and will take you to Marina Piccola).

Caremar

For those who wish to opt for a more comfortable solution that still allows them to

have free time to follow one of the walking routes and add the

circumnavigation of the island and a visit to two caves, we recommend a look at

Marina della Lobra

The chosen excursion can also be booked by contacting the staff at the

Reception.

  1. Exit Hotel Desirèe and cross the street.
  2. You will find the Line A bus stop in the direction of the station.
  3. From the square in front of the station take a Sita bus in the direction of Amalfi.
  4. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Sponda' stop for Positano.
  5. If your destination is Amalfi, continue for about 50 minutes and get off at the terminus in Amalfi.

To reach Ravello from Amalfi

Once in Amalfi, look for the SITA bus stop in the direction of Ravello.
The bus journey from Amalfi to Ravello takes approximately 20 minutes.

There is the option of a boat transfer to Positano/Amalfi that includes the transfer from the hotel and a boat ride along the coast. This is a good option if you want to enjoy beautiful views of the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts.

(For a visit to the Amalfi coast it is preferable to use your own means of transport, as the Sita buses, which regularly connect Sorrento with Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, only stop in the towns and not on the beautiful panoramic terraces along the coast. This also gives you the possibility to reduce transfer time and include a visit to the small village of Nocelle, located above Positano, where you can enjoy an incredible view of the entire Amalfi coast and, if you wish, walk the Sentiero degli Dei (light version), one of the most exciting walks in the area).

You can take the Circumvesuviana train to reach Castellammare di Stabia, the ancient Stabia, and with an additional 15-minute walk visit two villas: Villa San Marco and Villa Arianna.

From the port there are public boats to Ischia once a day
